Dragging a garden hose stream back and forth across the outside never reaches the debris packed deep between the pleats. Why the traditional method falls short
A single flat hose stream hits the pleats at one angle and mostly rinses the surface. Oils, sunscreen, and fine debris stay wedged where the water never quite reaches. You end up spending more time, using more water, and still leaving the filter partially loaded.
